
There is a new interesting theory on how to loose weight. It is called "Hibernation Diet", and it promises to help people losing weight while asleep.
The diet, which developed Scottish pharmacist and sports nutritionist, advises eating a couple of teaspoons of honey before bedtime and training with weights instead of aerobics workouts. This approach, said, helps burning fat and increase stamina. They also found that the best time for losing fat is while you asleep.
Honey is the great source of fructose. When you eat fructose, it is converted into glucose in the liver. This stabilises blood sugar levels, and allows body to activate recovery hormones which rebulid our body.
If liver is empty on the bedtime, body struggles to raise blood glucose levels. But, if you stabilise blood glucose with honey just before you asleep, your body can take recovery actions for itself.
This diet, also, advocates sleeping in dark room, without any lights.
On the other hand, you should not stick with long aerobic exercise. All you have to do is resistance exercise (weights lifting) for 15 minutes, every other day. This way, you stress muscles, you damage it, and then the body repairs them overnight using fat.
This is great theory, which may lead to answer to question how to loose weight. My only concern with this diet is teeth health. How will sweet honey, just before a sleep, influence on teeth?
